Delich court hearing MondayPosted: Updated:
Murder suspect David "Nick" Delich will have a court hearing Monday, most likely to set the date of his trial.
Delich is accused of shooting Tucson police officer Erik Hite to death in June 2008 and is charged with first-degree murder and several counts of attempted first-degree murder.
He's also accused of opening fire on two neighbors' homes on June 1, 2008, and leading authorities on a 20-mile chase through the city.
On Wednesday, Delich was declared competent to stand trial by doctors at the Arizona State Hospital. Officer Hite was shot in the head during the chase and died the next day.
