Woman killed in crash involving city bus in west PhoenixPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) - A woman is dead after the car she was driving collided with a city bus in west Phoenix.
Police say the name of the 63-year-old victim is being withheld until her family is notified.
Witnesses say the woman failed to stop at a red light about 9 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 4700 West Thunderbird and struck the bus as it was making a turn.
There were no passengers aboard the bus at the time. Police say the bus driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
