Lose weight with the Twinkie diet?

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- A professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University conducted a rather unusual experiment to lose weight --  eating junk food, Twinkies, Nutty Bars, Doritos and Oreos, among other things.

Mark Haub did count his calories, keeping them to 1,800 per day, and at the end of  two months, he had lost 27 pounds on the "convenience store diet," (aka the Twinkie diet or junk food diet).

As nutritionist Patti Milligan explains to Scott Pasmore, you can probably eat anything you want if you pay attention to the calorie count, but that doesn't mean it's healthful.
