Motorcyclist killed, 3 injured in crash with truck in Phoenix

PHOENIX -- A motorcyclist was killed and three others were injured after a pickup truck and three motorcycles collided in north Phoenix Tuesday night.
Phoenix police officers and paramedics responded to the crash on Cave Creek Road near Lone Mountain Road just before 7 p.m.
Witnesses said the truck driver was making a left turn from Ashler Hills Road onto Cave Creek Road and collided with three motorcyclists, according to Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos.
Robert Salazar, 63, died at the scene.
A 26-year-old woman was flown to an area hospital in critical condition. Two other riders, a 49-year-old man and 43-year-old woman, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Martos said none of the motorcyclists were wearing helmets.
The 37-year-old truck driver was not injured. At this time, it is unknown if he was impaired.
