Woman flees scene after allegedly killing bicyclist in Phoenix

PHOENIX – A woman faces charges in a fatal hit-and-run involving a bicyclist in Phoenix.

Police said Lora Lynn Muton, 54, hit a bicyclist near Van Buren and 48th streets at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday then fled the scene.

Authorities arrested Muton about a block from the accident. Officers believe she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

The victim has only been identified as a 53-year-old man.

Muton faces charges including manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
