Suspects caught on surveillance while robbing Superior materials store

SUPERIOR, Ariz. – Police are looking for at least two suspects involved in a robbery at a materials story in Superior.

Pinal County sheriff’s deputies say they received a call Nov. 1 at around 6:30 a.m. about a burglary at Kalamazoo Materials. Police believe the burglary took place between 5 p.m. on Oct. 29 when the store closed and Nov. 1 at 6 a.m. when it re-opened the following weekend.

Two padlocks were broken. One was at the front gate of the business and the second padlock was outside of a box trailer that contained additional tools that were also stolen.

The suspects took power cables typically used to run heavy equipment including over 80 feet of 2-inch-thick electrical cable and about 240 feet of 1-inch-thick electrical cable cut from equipment.

The estimated property damage and stolen items amount to more than $15,000.

Two suspects were caught on surveillance cameras. One appears to be either a white or Hispanic man wearing a beanie and the second is either a white or Hispanic woman with longer hair.
