Looking to buy a condo? Try it before you buy it!Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- You wouldn't buy a new car without taking it for a test drive. When you buy a new mattress, you lay on it first to see how it feels. What if you could do the same thing with a home -- try it before you buy it?
As Javier Soto explains, you can do just that at the Aderra Condominiums in Phoenix. You pay a monthly rent that will go toward your purchase price if you decide to buy the place.
Jacque Mateo of Starpointe Communities said the program is working well. Nine units have sold in the past 12 months. That's about half of the people who opted to try it out.
The condos sell for anywhere between $175,000 to $300,000.
