Masked suspect robs Phoenix credit union

PHOENIX -- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a credit union in Phoenix Friday afternoon.

Shortly before 3 p.m., a male wearing a mask and dark clothing entered the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union at Eighth Street and Union Hills Drive. He reportedly vaulted the teller counter and demanded money from the tellers at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a male, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark face mask, a black fedora hat, black gloves, blue jeans, sunglasses, white athletic shoes and a dark long-sleeved shirt with a gray T-shirt underneath.

Police said the suspect was carrying a dark semi-automatic pistol.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
