PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Prescott Valley police officers are trying to determine what led up to an early morning accident involving a school bus.

Around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a crash between a school bus and a full-size van at Civic Circle and Viewpoint Drive.

The Humboldt Unified School District bus was driven by Lisa Bergman, 52, of Prescott Valley. Also on the bus was a 72-year-old male employee and a 6-year-old boy.

The van was driven by Lonnie McKenzie Jr., 63. He was traveling south of Viewpoint Drive.

It appears he did not make a full stop at the intersection and struck the bus that was traveling westbound on Civic Circle.

According to police, McKenzie may have sustained minor injuries during the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Investigators are also looking into the possibility that a medical condition may have been a contributing factor.
