ATLANTA (AP) -- Jason Richardson scored 21 points and Steve Nash added 19 and the Phoenix Suns held off Atlanta's second-half comeback to beat the Hawks 118-114 on Sunday.
The Hawks suffered their first loss after a 6-0 start.
There were four ties in the fourth quarter but the Hawks could not take the lead.
Nash had 15 assists. He made four free throws in the final 7 seconds to protect the lead.
Joe Johnson had 34 points and Al Horford added 30 -- one shy of his career high -- for Atlanta.
Johnson and Horford each set season scoring highs.
