Arizona State Fair wraps up 2010 eventPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The Arizona State Fair wrapped up a successful 21-day run over the weekend. Yesterday was the last day to enjoy chocolate-covered bacon, corndogs, funnel cakes, midway games and awesome rides.
Javier Soto was out at the fairgrounds where the cleanup is getting under way.
Initial numbers indicate that nearly 950,000 people walked through the turnstiles. When all is said and done, the final numbers should surpass last year's event.
Fair officials are attributing the great attendance to discount admissions, good weather and big-name entertainment.
