PHOENIX. – Parents in one school district got a "stranger danger" alert Thursday.
Police in Phoenix are warning parents to be on the lookout for a possible predator described only as white and bald. He was seen driving a white pickup truck. He may be attempting to lure children into his truck in the Ahwatukee area.
A spokesperson for the Kyrene School District said they sent a phone alert to parents because they felt the person described could pose a danger to children.
On Oct. 20, a 9-year-old boy was approached by a man in a truck who reportedly told him to “get in the car” near Chandler Boulevard and 43rd Place. The boy ran to a friend's home and police were called. He was not touched or injured in the incident..
There was another incident two weeks before where a man in a pickup truck stopped in front of a little girl playing in her yard near Chandler Boulevard and 42nd Street and took a photo of her before driving away.
