A Pima County jury convicted a 40-year-old man of murder Wednesday. Ismael Padilla-Contreras will serve two life sentences in the deaths of Roberto Martinez and Paul Maldonado in the Catalina foothills in April 2008. Padilla was involved in a plot to kill the men during a drug deal. Two other suspects are still on the run.

The body of Andres Sanchez, 38, was found in the desert near 36th Street and La Cholla Boulevard. He had been missing since October 20 and most of his family thought he left on his own.

But his 16-year-old daughter Clarissa Sanchez and 19-year-old Larry Coronado are charged with First Degree Murder in his death.
