Chris Bachelier, UA Cooperative Extension, SCC, says the office has programs promoting healthy nutrition and physical activity.  At two “Family Fitness Centers" in SCC, she says “We’re trying to put the emphasis on nutrition,” especially for food-stamp eligible people. Bachelier says “The push from the government is, ‘let’s teach people to make healthy choices.’”  She says the centers are at the Anza Gym in Nogales and at Rio Rico High School.
