AHS Pet of the Week - JR

It is possible that JR stands for “just ravishing” because this tabby cat is incredibly gorgeous. She ended up at the shelter for no fault of her own, but simply because her owner was moving.

With the kitten years behind her, this mature 14-year-old cat finds more pleasure in leisurely naps and plenty of cuddle time with her owner rather than swinging getting into mischief.

JR is very well-mannered and laid back. She spends her days lounging on the couch or on the bed effortlessly enhancing the décor of the room with her bold stripes and bright green eyes. Occasionally, when JR is feeling feisty she will chase after a toy mouse but she can’t sink her claws into anything because she is already front declawed.

Thus far in life, JR has only had adult human roommates so this sweet-natured girl will need time to adjust to a household with other pets or children.

She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is just $20 since she is a Prime Time cat. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar, an AHS I.D. tag, a pet carrier and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about this pet, please call 602-997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A327569 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
