Woman with physical disability drowns in Phoenix poolPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – A woman with a physical disability drowned in a swimming pool in Phoenix Monday evening.
A spokesperson with the Phoenix Fire Department said a 73-year-old paraplegic woman drowned near Union Hills Drive and 43rd Avenue.
The Fire Department got the emergency call just before 8 p.m. and responded to the 4400 block of Wagoner Road.
A person who could not reach the victim became concerned and went to the victim’s home and found her in the swimming pool.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. It is still not clear how she got into the pool.
