Police release photo of Peoria bank robbery suspect

PEORIA, Ariz. -- The Peoria Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in a bank robbery Thursday morning.
According to Peoria police spokesman Mike Tellef, a suspect armed with a black revolver entered the Chase bank inside Bashas' at 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road shortly after 10 a.m.
Tellef said the suspect wrote a demand note on a bank transaction form and gave it to the clerk.
He received a known amount of cash and fled the area in a dark-colored, four-door Chevy truck with a loud muffler.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a heavy build, 20 to 30 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, a red Arizona Diamondbacks hat and an Ace-style bandage on his left arm.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
