Robbers literally come crashing down on employee during robberyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Police are looking for a couple of robbers who crashed a West Valley business, literally, after climbing onto the roof.
According to police, they climbed onto the roof, crawled into the attic and then came crashing down through the ceiling of the Ace Check Cashing Store located near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road.
Police say it was all part of their plan. They believe the suspects timed it so they would come crashing down from the ceiling right when the employee walked in so she could open the register.
"The employee came in and it was when this employee came in, that she heard a loud crash, that was the suspects making their way into the office area where she was at and then once that occurred that's when she was tied up and held there until they left," said Sgt. Steve Martos with Phoenix police.
Ace Check Cashing had no cameras working at the time and don't have much of a description they just say they were two African American men wearing ski masks.
