Man stabbed in Glendale neighborhoodPosted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police have released the name of the man who was stabbed in Glendale early Friday morning.
Officers were called to the neighborhood near 67th Avenue and Orange Drive, which is north of Camelback Road, at about 5:30 a.m.
According to Phoenix police Sgt. Brent Coombs, officers found Jesse Encinas, 44, inside his family's home suffering from stab wounds to his upper body.
Coombs said it appeared that Encinas was stabbed outside his home but was able to make it inside to his family, who called police.
Encinas was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later died.
Glendale homicide investigators continue to work the case, but no suspects have been identified at this point.
