Vote 2010: Arizona senators against 203, Election spending, Political notebook

Arizona U.S. Senators Jon Kyl and John McCain spoke out Wednesday against a ballot proposition that would legalize medical marijuana.

New numbers show candidates are spending a record amount of money for this election.

The federal election commission reports outside groups have spent $264 million.

That's more than outside spending in the 2008 presidential election and it's four times the amount spent in the 2006 mid-term election.
