Arrests made in Tucson forklift burglariesPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Three men are in custody following the burglary of several businesses in the Tucson area on Sunday night.
Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ogan says the burglars cut through a roll up door and made entry into a golf cart business, then used a fork lift to break through the interior wall to a moving and storage business next door.
The suspects used hammers to break through dividing walls and into two more businesses, causing extensive damage to the structure.
Deputies used dogs to apprehend the suspects in the fourth business, where they were hiding in crates.
All three were charged with burglary, felony criminal damage, felony theft and possession of burglary tools. Ogan says the men had piled up computers, monitors and other equipment to steal.
