Police investigating pair of weekend bank robberiesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Police are looking for suspects in two separate bank robberies over the weekend and in both cases the suspect brandished a note but not a weapon.
The first one happened at a Wells Fargo in Glendale at 43rd and Peoria avenues.
Police said a man in his late 20s walked into the bank and passed a teller a note demanding cash, but the teller refused to hand it over.
The suspect got away before police arrived.
A short time later in Tempe, a man went into a U.S. Bank at Elliot Road and McClintock Drive and demanded money.
This time the robber got away with the cash, but once again he did not show a weapon.
