Peoria teen arrested in fatal stabbingPosted: Updated:
PEORIA, Ariz. – A man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a fatal stabbing that took place almost six months ago.
Christopher Myles Santome, 18, was arrested by detectives at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, which was his birthday, in his Peoria home.
Santome faces second-degree murder charges. He reportedly lives in the neighborhood where the stabbing occurred.
Peoria police responded to a house near Union Hills Drive and 107th Avenue on April 12 after receiving a call about a male suspect lying in the front yard.
When officers arrived, they discovered Jonathan Dunlop, 27, with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead.
According to Peoria police spokesman Mike Tellef, detectives determined the suspect walked up to the victim and stabbed him in the chest following an argument.
