You probably remember walking to school a lot when you were a kid. It's not quite as common anymore.

Wednesday, Tucson police officers were out riding alongside kids to take part in the international walk to school day.

Officer danny peralta admits not as many kids are walk to school today as during his schooldays, but he says the safety is as important as ever.

"We need them to stop look left, look right, look left again," said Officer Peralta.  "That's probably the most important thing we're gonna teach today."
