PHOENIX -- A woman riding a bicycle was hit at a Phoenix intersection Tuesday morning.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, a woman in her 40s was riding a three-wheel bicycle at 16th Street at Camelback Road when she was hit by either a city bus or a car.
Police officers received conflicting statements from witnesses about which vehicle hit her.
Officers stopped the bus at 16th Street and Missouri Avenue, but the car was not located. The bus driver and passengers said they didn't see or feel the bus hit anyone.
The woman received a serious leg injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No citations have been issued at this time. Phoenix police are still investigating to determine exactly how the woman was injured.
