Fall finally arrives in Valley of the SunPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It looks like fall might have finally arrived in the Valley of the Sun.
This week is definitely going to be different from what we were seeing weather-wise last week. We could see some big changes as early as this afternoon.
A trough of low pressure will bring cooler temperatures, a chance of rain and even a chance of strong thunderstorms in some parts of the state.
Plan on a high of about 96 degrees in Phoenix today. Tonight, it's going to be breezy and possibly wet, with the chance of showers increasing overnight. The overnight low should be about 73.
Scattered showers are a good bet for tomorrow with a high of just 89. Cloud skies remain Wednesday, and then things will start to warm up a bit -- although not to the triple digits -- as we wrap up the week and head into the weekend.
