Hispanic heritage celebration at Tucson police stationPosted: Updated:
Thursday Customs and Border Protection hosted a Hispanic heritage month celebration.
The celebration at the Tucson Police Department Miracle Mile station included food and musical entertainment by the Nogales High School mariachi.
"And our celebration today is an effort to recognize our Hispanic employees its an educational effort so that our co-workers understand better the people that they work with and the community that we serve," said Larry White of U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
The celebration is part of the special emphasis program which celebrates diversity in the workforce.
