Suspect arrested in fatal shooting at Gilbert restaurant

GILBERT, Ariz. - Gilbert police responded to a shots fired call at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant at Power and Ray Roads in Gilbert around 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Daniel Gerardo Zamora-Robles, 26, was shot multiple times with a handgun and died at the scene.

The shooter has been identified by Gilbert Police as 52-year-old Eligio Millanes-Esquer.  Millanes-Esquer was arrested at approximately 6:40 Saturday evening in the 18,000 block of West Indian School Road in Phoenix.

The victim was employed at the Texas Roadhouse and was reportedly on his way into work.  Police determined Zamora-Robles was an acquaintance of Milanes-Esquer's ex-wife. The ex-wife and her daughter has dropped Zamora-Robles off at the restaurant the morning of the shooting.
