Deportation delay for illegal immigrant living in TucsonPosted: Updated:
An illegal immigrant set to be deported has been granted a reprieve.
Alfonso Morales has lived in Tucson for two decades. He and his wife have two kids in school. He was arrested two years ago in an immigration raid at a Walmart and was set to be sent back to Mexico Friday.
But after Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano received 1,500 calls and faxes, a deferred action was granted.
