MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Mesa police say they have arrested three suspects in connection with a drug-related slaying last month.

Police said Wednesday that 22-year-old Carlos Gonzales, 20-year-old Sylvia Sainz and 23-year-old Dylan Noack are now in custody.

Police say the three allegedly went to a Mesa address on Aug. 28 to buy marijuana from 28-year-old Leovardo Ortiz. But after they arrived, authorities allege that Gonzales and Noack pulled out handguns and fatally shot Ortiz.

The suspects took the drugs and fled the scene. Detectives have been following leads in the case since the night of the shooting, but police have not disclosed what led them to the three suspects.
