Udall dedication in D.C.Posted: Updated:
The Udall family of Arizona now has a permanent presence in Washington D.C.
Dignataries gathered tuesday to dedicate the headquarters building of the department of the interior to former Tucson Congressman Stewart Udall.
Udall headed the department under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson and is credited with a forward looking stewardship of the nation's natural resources.
Current Tucson congressman Raul Grijalva said Tuesday Udall was a "pioneering conservationist" and called Tueday's honor "richly deserved."
