Dream Act voted downPosted: Updated:
A dream deferred Tuesday for the supporters of the Dream Act, a bill granting legal status to certain young immigrants who wish to serve in our military or enroll in college.
For days, protesters have gathered in Phoenix hoping they'll get the chance to become citizens.
Democrats couldn't gather the 60 votes they needed to move forward with a defense bill that has the dream act attached to it as an amendment.
The final senate vote was 56 to 43.
Supporters say they're going to keep fighting.
