Rescuers: Car seat gave 3-year-old involved in brutal wreck a fighting chancePosted: Updated:
MESA, Ariz. -- A 3-year-old remains in critical condition after a brutal wreck that killed his mother. Emergency crews discovered the little boy strapped into his car seat, hanging upside-down inside a mangled SUV that had flipped over, landing on its roof.
According to rescuers, it's that car seat that made the difference, giving the toddler's a fighting chance.
Marissa Ramirez-Ramos of the Mesa Fire Department shows Tess Rafols what many parents do wrong when it comes to car seats, and how easy it is to correct those common mistakes and perhaps save your baby's life.
