Car clips fire rescue truck en route to hospitalPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A fire rescue truck that was taking a small child to the hospital was hit by a car on the freeway Saturday afternoon.
It happened on the eastbound Interstate 10 near the Loop 202 on ramp.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, a white car cut off the rescue truck, clipping its front. That car then collided with three other cars.
An ambulance was called to the scene to take the 5-year-old who was in the rescue truck to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Two other people suffered minor injuries in the wreck. Both were taken to the hospital.
