Former bank teller admits to robbing 3 banks in five daysPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Police say they have arrested a former bank teller suspected of robbing three Phoenix-area banks since last Friday.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said in a release that 25-year-old Danyelle Gerrie was taken into custody Thursday.
She is suspected in armed robberies that were reported at a Chase Bank, Compass Bank and Arizona Central Credit Union between Friday, Sept. 10, and Wednesday.
Police say Gerrie used a getaway vehicle during the robberies.
The driver of the vehicle, who police say was unaware of the bank robberies, has been booked on outstanding warrants.
