Demolition of downtown hotel sends rats scurrying to ASU dorm

PHOENIX - Students at the downtown Arizona State University campus are being told to be on the lookout for rats.

It appears that over the past couple of years rats have moved in to the old vacant Ramada Inn across the street and now that demolition is underway, the rats are scurrying over to one of ASU’s dorms.

They have been spotted about a dozen different times everywhere from the nursing and health innovations building to the university center parking.

The City of Phoenix is helping to root out the rats and officials plan to replace the Ramada with a parking lot.
