NASA wrapping up tests in Arizona desertPosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A NASA program is wrapping up more than two weeks of testing rovers, habitats and robots -- equipment that could be used in future space exploration mission.
Teams have been in the area of Black Point Lava Flow about 40 miles north of Flagstaff. The topography there is similar to what space explorers might find at future destination.
Veteran astronaut Mike Gernhardt is at Black Point Lava Flow and described some of the Desert RATS's tests for Scott Pasmore.
