Dean Fish, UA Ag. Ext. Agent, SCC, says Autumn has arrived, and that’s a good time to talk about planting stuff. He says trees can be planted now, because throughout the cooler months roots can grow, allowing the plants to establish before summer heat. He says soil in the center should be removed  to create a hole twice as wide but only as deep as the rootball. He says the bottom of the hole should be flat. He says to water regularly and to cover plants when temperatures approach freezing.
