Double-digit high today, slightly cooler and breezy ThursdayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Drier air moving into the state hasn't quite made it to Phoenix yet, but it is part of the reason for a Red Flag Warning in Mohave County. Winds in the area are expected to be in 35- to 40-mph range. That combined with the low relative humidity adds up to a Red Flag Warning.
This morning saw some scattered sprinkles throughout the state, but nothing measurable on the rain gauges.
The drier air that's heading our way will put an end to our rain chances for the rest of the week ahead. It's also going to bring us some cooler temperatures, especially during the overnight hours.
Plan on a high of 99 under mostly sunny skies today. Overnight it will be mostly clear and cooler -- 74 degrees.
Look for a sunny and breezy day tomorrow, 95 degrees with 10 to 15 mph winds.
Things will start to warm back up through the weekend ; we should be around 105 by early next week.
