A Northwest Fire district crew was kept pretty busy in the early morning hours of Labor Day. Firefighters from Station 31 battled a mobile home and storage fire.
Just around 3 A.M. Northwest firefighters were called to a fire at double wide mobile home near Shannon Road and Curtis.
There was one person inside.
The homeowner tried to get out through a shed attached to the place, but he found it locked and bolted from the outside.
The first crew on the scene heard him yelling and banging on the shed door.
About 40 minutes later, the same crew was called to a blaze at a business about a mile away from the first fire. The U-Stor building at Ruthrauff and La Cholla where company 31 found flames coming from two units.
