Greg Lucero, SCC Manager, says the County is moving ahead with plans for the Palo Parado Bridge. He says more than 1400 cars a day cross the Santa Cruz River from subdivisions to the east of the river, something they can’t do during monsoon season.  He says while federal funds haven’t been forthcoming, there is money in the county’s flood control reserve fund that can be used to start design of the bridge.
