Police search for suspects who killed man near Phoenix motel

PHOENIX -- A 32-year-old man was shot to death in a motel parking lot in Phoenix and Silent Witness is offering a reward to help find the suspects.

At 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 21, Xavier Sanchez was walking in the Arizona Motel parking lot near 24th and Van Buren streets when a pickup truck entered the lot.

According to Sgt. Darren Burch with Silent Witness, three people exited the truck and searched the area for the victim. Upon locating Sanchez, one of the suspects shot him multiple times as he chased him.

The suspects got into the truck and fled the area.

Sanchez died from his injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time. The suspect vehicle is a 2000 Chevy extended cab pickup truck.

Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspects of this crime.
