PHOENIX -- Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a vehicle in Phoenix on Monday.

According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, a Hispanic male was found dead behind the wheel of a Chevrolet SUV near 12th Street and Campbell Avenue.

Crump said that a neighbor went outside and saw an individual in a vehicle parked behind a home. A couple of hours later, the witness became concerned about the individual in the car and called police.

The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced him dead.

Police do not have any suspects at this time.

The cause of death has not been released, however, Crump said there is trauma to the victim that is consistent with a homicide.
