Tucson soldier shot by police in UtahPosted: Updated:
A soldier from Tucson was shot to death, because he shot at a police officer in Salt Lake City.
Friday afternoon, Brandon Barrett was walking the streets of a busy downtown intersection heavily armed and in uniform.
Someone saw him, called 911 and when police arrived, Barrett shot an officer in the leg. The officer shot back and killed Barrett.
The U.S. Army had recently obtained a federal warrant accusing Barrett of being a deserter. He joined the army almost four years ago, but disappeared July 20.
