Woman sexually assaulted at Phoenix restaurantPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in a restaurant bathroom early Saturday morning.
According to Sgt. Steve Martos with the Phoenix Police Department, a woman in her early 20s was with friends at a restaurant near Ray Road and 50th Street at 2 a.m. when she felt ill and excused herself to the restroom.
Martos said a man came in and overpowered the victim. He sexually assaulted her then fled the restaurant. The victim was able to get help from her friends.
The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years old.
Police are still investigating the incident.
