Arizona sheriffs band together to fight legal challenges over SB 1070Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Arizona sheriffs and other law-enforcement agencies could face legal challenges and a variety of costs as part of enforcing immigration laws.
As Javier Soto explains, those sheriffs are banding together to fight back, and Monday morning, they announced their new chairman -- former gubernatorial candidate Buzz Mills. One of his goals is to raise money to defend Senate Bill 1070, Arizona's controversial new immigration law.
The website BorderSheriffs.com was launched last month and has already raised more than $125,000. The goal is $4 million.
