Disagreement between roommates over loud music leads to fatal stabbing

PHOENIX - A disagreement over loud music has left one Valley man dead and his roommate now faces murder charges.

Police say 26-year-old Jorge Ibarra-Estrada stabbed his roommate on Friday at about 10 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Bell Road. Police say began fighting over how loud the music was when one stabbed the other.

The victim died at the scene and the suspect initially fled but was later arrested. He now faces murder and aggravated assault charges. 3TV has learned he also had an outstanding warrant on drug charges.

The victim's identity has not been released by police.
