Romero pleads guiltyPosted: Updated:
Just as jury selection was about to begin in his trial, a Tucson man pleaded guilty to manslaughter. 18-year-old Alejandro Romero faced first degree murder charges for a home invasion that ended with one of his accomplices dead.
Romero and two others allegedly broke into a home near Benson and Valencia and pistol whipped the owner. As they were leaving they started shooting at a neighbor, who's son shot and killed 27-year-old Danny Torres. With the plea, Romero faces 12 to 21 years in prison.
