Suspect in Mesa senior center vandalism caught, accomplice on the loose

MESA, Ariz. -- A suspect in the burglary and vandalism of a Mesa senior center was apprehended Monday afternoon.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., Maricopa County sheriff's deputies took Justin Renner into custody in connection with the burglary and vandalism of the Dreamland Villa Community Center Sunday morning.

Damage was estimated at about $30,000.

Sgt. Jesse Spurgin with the sheriff's office said Renner was apprehended near Recker Road and Main Street as he was seen running.

Deputies later discovered that Renner was wanted for questioning by the Mesa and Apache Junction police departments for other crimes.

Renner's suspected accomplice in the Dreamland Villa break-in has been identified as Corey Robert Crabbs, 18.

Crabbs is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
