PHOENIX (AP) -- Classes at Metro Tech High School in Phoenix are suspended because of a lack of air conditioning.

The Phoenix Union High School District said Monday that repairs will not be completed quickly enough to alleviate the high classroom temperatures.

Metro Tech High School serves about 1,500 full-time students, as well as students who come from schools districtwide for half-day career and technical education courses.

The school day will be made up later in the semester.
